Brief history 

     He was born on Nov,18,1915 and he joined the air-force at the age of 24. He was 5 feet tall with blue eyes and dark brown hair and a fair complexion. He liked to ski and swim, he liked literature and music as well as amateur radio.He attended Muchmore elemetary school from 1929-1930 and to Glebe Collegiate institute 1930-1935 and was a radio operator for 5 years and then joined the air-force.He was born in Harrogate, Yorkshire, England but lived in 26, Windsor ave. Ottawa, On with his father Edwin Russell Allen who was born in London, England and was an electrical engineer. He was lieutenant in the first world war and earned a military cross.Allen Fred Charles was a reporting staff of the citizen.

Service record

     Allen fred charles Enlisted in the Air-force on August 1st 1940 in the Rcaf recruitment center in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on the 24th of february 1941 he was sent to Manning Depot #1 in Toronto, Ontario.On may the 23, 1941, he was sent to Iceland and arrived in Iceland after 4 days of travel. then he was sent to the 75th signal wing on June 14, 1941. He was a radio operator and he might of been given this job because his amateur radio before he joind the army. Because of him being a radio operator not may of the ww2 dates don't match his lives major dates as he stayed back and talked to the bombers or the bases. On October 9th 1941 he was sent to the 600 Sgn. at Predannack Airfield that is located 10km S of Helston, Cornwall in England. This was  location used to spot german submarines and ships. On January 2nd, 1942, he was sent back to Canada because of a sickens and on the 26th of march 1942, he retired for medical reasons. During his time in the RCAF he earned multiple medals and thee are the pictures of them with there names underneath each one:

Death and Memorial

     Allen Fred Charles died because of the illness Cachexia on march 4, 1943 as said on "THE CANADIAN PENSION COMMISSION" sheet. this illness causes loss of weight, muscle atrophy, fatigue, weakness, and significant loss of appetite. This illness is seen in people with, tuberculosis, familial amyloid polyneuropathy, mercury poisoning (acrodynia) and hormonal deficiency and as seen in the letter that was sent on the 30th of january, 1942, Allen Fred Charles was diagnosed with tuberculosis. Allen Fred Charles was 28 when he died in Ottawa, Ontario and is buried in the ottawa(prinecrest)cemetery.
